Founded in 1987 and located in the former Washington Bathhouse, a turn-of-the-century national historic landmark building situated within the beautiful Saratoga Spa State Park, the National Museum of Dance has the distinction of being the only museum of its kind in the United States, and one of two in the world, devoted solely to the art form of dance.
The Lewis A. Swyer School of the Performing Arts is an extension of the National Museum of Dance, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. With a focus on providing professional-level dance instruction within a low-pressure, supportive environment, one of our top priorities is to create an enjoyable experience for our dancers and their families.
The National Museum of Dance is a stunning setting for your wedding or event. The museum offers three distinct spaces to host your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception or party. The beaux Arts Foyer, intimate Southeast Gallery, and the private Courtyard will make for some great backgrounds to host your amazing event!
The Mr. and Mrs. Ronald A. Riggi Theater, a stunning forty-five-seat black box theater located in the northwest wing of the Museum, hosts film screenings and lectures, as well as opera, music, comedy, drama, and dance performances. Constructed in 2014, the Riggi Theater is available to rent for residencies, rehearsal space, and private events.
